You'd feel sorry for these folks, if they weren't doing so much damage, giving science-bashers the idea that there was actual evidence to support their mis-understanding of evolution and sense of persecution.

Whatever you think of the movie, the real damage to science education is being done by Dawkins and the like who keep telling us Science equals atheism.
Like it or not, that is what the public hears.
Combine it with vicious rants from PZ MYERS and the like, and there is going to be plenty to fuel the fight.
What a waste.
So we are raising a generation of "quiver-full" families, steeped in lies and a paranoid mis-representation of what science is about. What kind of havoc will these sincere but deeply ignorant fundamentalists do as they reach adulthood?
